Learning from Bin Ladens death...

"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." - Martin Luther King Jr.

The propaganda and confusion surrounding the 9/11 attacks will be discussed for a very long time. I personally believe that the U.S. government, possibly by way of order from the global banks, oil tycoons and other corporations, decided to instigate and eventually engage in war as it appeared to be extremely profitable in the long term. This of course is just my opinion and perspective based on the research I have done.

Do I believe Bin Laden is dead? Well here's the possibilities. Either he is, he isn't, or he has been for quite some time. I believe, without a doubt, that their is an ulterior motive for disclosing this information. Perhaps it is a desperate response to the corruption that has been exposed from such documentaries as "Inside Job" which won both an Academy and an Oscar award or "Waiting For Superman" or the Internet sensation "The Zeitgeist Movement".

These are topics that I will write about perhaps in the future but my primary focus is Dr. Kings beautiful words. To better understand them let us remove the traditional and literal interpretation of the words "hate" and "love" lets instead replace them with "positive energy" and "negative energy" which represents a much broader spectrum of words and therefore allows us to think with a much broader perspective.

For the sake of conversation let us imagine that we are in line at the grocery store and the person in front of us is not happy that the store was out of a particular product and begins to make a "scene". I am willing to guarantee that this individual is carrying around negative energy from some personal worry and because negative energy is not hidden well, they spread it where ever they go, infecting more and more people with anxiety and anger. If you allow this negative energy to take hold of you and become defensive (which is naturally how we handle negative energy and is negative itself) by voicing your opinion in an aggressive manner rather than a calm and kind one, you will only intensify the negative energy. This is what is meant by "hate multiplies hate"

Now if we take the same scenario but this time diffuse the situation with positive energy by perhaps relating to them while smiling and making a kind remark or joke we can "infect"  "cure" this individual with positive energy! This is an example of what Dr. King meant by "hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

Although these examples may seem inadequate in respect to the original quote from Dr. King, the concept is accurate on ANY scale and in ALL situations. This is why Jesus said "do not resist an evil person" and to "love your enemy" this is why Lao Tzu said, "Treat those who are good with goodness and also treat those who are bad with goodness, thus goodness is attained" The prophet Muhammad also said, "Do not say, that if the people do good to us, we will do good to them; and if the people oppress us, we will oppress them; but determine that if people do you good, you will do good to them; and if they oppress you, you will not oppress them" and Buddha too was quoted saying something very similar to Dr. King  "Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule." This understanding is shared by many other great leaders, both past and present.

Positive and negative energy represent a "sixth sense" to me. It is a built in compass that we unfortunately pay little or no attention to, when really, we should pay more attention to than the other  five. I encourage you to make a habit of looking at your daily being and doing from a different perspective, one thats focal point is energy and you will soon learn that EVERYTHING is governed by this energy. It is quite simple, if you feel negative energy, such as, anxiety, fear, anger, hate, etc. these are clear indications of a state of being that is not natural to us but rather uncomfortable and is our inner compass telling us to make a change. The opposite of course is positive energy, such as, happiness, laughter, confidence, love, etc. and these are all very natural to us, so natural, that when we are infected with negativity and "lost in the dark" we yearn for positive energy and "light". Be shore to keep this in mind when dealing with someone who is in a negative frame of mind, they may not admit it but they are lost and seeking some "light" and positive energy. Perhaps you could be the one to provide that for them and gain a friend.

Finally I would like to conclude this blog by explaining that both of these energies have a domino effect that reach further than you could possibly imagine. What I mean is a simple kind word will more than likely inspire that person to spread some positive energy with someone else and so on and so forth, unfortunately negative energy also has the same effect but just remember that love is our natural state of being and that therefore makes it more powerful so CHOOSE wisely and never forget, the ONLY solution to negative energy is positive energy!

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." - Mother Teresa
